A Conversation with Elevated Access

Join Will County NOW the evening of February 15th for a conversation with Mike Bonanza, one of the founders of Elevated Access. Mike will talk about how Elevated Access came to be, what their mission is, and what NOW can do to support their mission. There will be a Q&A period during the last 15 minutes.
The meeting will be recorded and made available on our YouTube channel a few days afterwards.
About Elevated Access
Elevated Access has its roots in reproductive justice and trans rights as an organization helping people travel to access abortion and gender-affirming care. The organization’s work connects people needing travel assistance with volunteer pilots – and sometimes airline tickets – to transport them for free. Before the Dobbs case draft opinion leaked in early May 2022, the organization had 3 pilots. Thanks to viral social media content and many news stories, the organization now has more than 1,000 pilots wanting to join its nationwide network of volunteers assisting people traveling to access healthcare.

About Mike
After working effectively two full-time jobs between his previous career and launching the organization, Mike left a 20-year IT management career to be Executive Director for Elevated Access. Mike is an instrument-rated commercial pilot with more than 500 hours of flight time.
